Congratulations to our students Niksa Jarausek, Bethany Lindorff, Charlotte Lindorff, and Matthew Bereza for making the Victorian State Team this year. These players will be representing Victoria at the National Championships in July in Sydney, NSW.
This year there were up to 2 teams available per age group (Team 'A' and Team 'B'). Each team could have up to 4 players. So, this meant a maximum of 8 players per age group were selected for the Victorian State Team.
Niksa made Team 'B' in Under 15 Boys.
Bethany made Team 'B' in Under 17 Girls.
Matthew made Team 'B' in Under 19 Boys.
Charlotte made Team "B' in Under 19 Girls.
Congratulations also to our student Isla Hanna-Phillips for her nomination for the Presidents Team. Isla has also done the work to participate in the National Championships, and this has been noticed by Table Tennis Victoria (TTV) via nominating her for the Presidents Team.
All these players have been training with us and competing in tournaments for years. We believe this achievement is the consequence of several factors working together in harmony.
We also want to acknowledge the parents of these players. This achievement is not possible without their support, and it is critical we continue working as a team for the most benefit of their children.
Last but not the least, we would like to thank the Geelong Table Tennis Association (GTTA) for their support. We appreciate it, and it encourages us to continue.
